Mdou Moctar Unplugged – Exclusive Acoustic Show at Nefertiti October 6th

Mdou is currently in Gothenburg and we have the great honor to host an exclusive acoustic show with him Thursday the 6th. This is not a rehersed show. 

Mdou Moctar did an amazing sold out show at Nefertiti in April this year.

Psychedelic desert rock from Niger! Mdou Moctar has been described as the Jimi Hendrix of the Sahara, and recently the new album Afrique Victim was released, which, among other things, was awarded a well-deserved Best New Music stamp by Pitchfork. The career began with his music being spread as mp3s from mobile phone to mobile phone in his home country. Since then, the wildfire has never stopped, and the big international breakthrough came with 2019’s masterful Ilana (The Creator). Afrique Victim is in many ways a continuation and a refinement of the journey he has embarked on so far, and is, to say the least, a great achievement by a great artist.
